Types of Engines in High-Performance Motorcycles.
There are different types of engines in high-performance motorcycles, with the most common being 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines:
- 4-Stroke Engines: These engines use a four-stage sequence to complete a combustion cycle (intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust). They are more fuel-efficient, produce fewer emissions, and are generally more durable.
- 2-Stroke Engines: These engines complete the combustion cycle in just two stages. They are lighter and more powerful for their size and weight, but less efficient and more polluting. They are common in racing and off-road motorcycles.
